Bio
In 2000 Susan Fizzell was part-time coordinator for BAA’s Habitat Restoration Project and part-time program assistant for the CRMP (Coordinated Resource Management and Planning) at the Peninsula Conservation Center, working at both organizations toward similar goals surrounding San Francisquito Creek. She became the coordinator for the San Francisquito Watershed Council when BAA and PCCF merged and became Acterra.
Susan organized countless volunteers and groups to clean the creek, remove invasive plants, and plant natives. She developed a Streamkeeper program and helped in the creation of interpretive signage at the El Palo Alto Park and the Alma Bridge area.
She also volunteered in the BAA Mountain View Garden and at Arastradero Preserve.
Post BAA
Susan lives in Oakland, CA, and is a Senior Aviation Project Manager for the Port of Oakland.
